Winona Ryder joined Jimmy Kimmel on his late night show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to talk about her new television series ‘Stranger Things’ which has gained immense popularity since its exclusive release on Netflix.

‘Stranger Things’ is much different than most television series today. For starters, most of the starring characters are kids, but this doesn’t make the show any less gripping — all of the child actors are brilliant. It’s also set in 1983, which creates a vibe that is different from other shows. The characters use walky-talkies, ride bikes, and have antennas on their television sets. Nobody is distracted by technology, and it’s refreshing.

Winona Ryder plays a mother named Joyce, who goes through an immense hardship after her son Will goes missing. Ryder does an amazing job at capturing what a mother would feel like and go through after losing one of her children.
