The Voice Semifinals are Over: 9 Have Become 5 (Videos)

The Voice, the show that asks the question, "Why are Carson Daily and Adam Levine famous?"

It’s been a great season of The Voice, and the semifinals did not disappoint. Although Carson Daley was wardrobed like a Jackson Hewitt tax attorney for most of the season, it’s been one of the most exciting seasons of The Voice. During Tuesday night’s installment, fans learned which contestants automatically advanced to the finals based on Monday-Tuesday’s social-media votes.

Here’s a good summary of the episode. The contestants stood in a line, shoulder to shoulder, for 45 minutes as Carson announced the voting results. The losers were then obligated to hug the happy winners.

Fan favorites ChrisBlue, Lauren Duski, Brennley Brown, and Aliyah Moulden all advanced to the The Voice Finale. In a shocking turn of events Vanessa Ferguson (Team Alicia) and T-Soul (team Blake) did not advance to the finals – we are pretty sure that “T-Soul” isn’t his actual name, but we hope he runs for Congress one day only as “T-Soul.”
